The Missionary Formation Process 2025-2026 has begun in Central America

With great joy, we announce the beginning of the missionary formation process 2025-2026 in Central America. The first gathering of this initial stage of formation took place in El Salvador, where participants took the first steps on this journey that seeks to strengthen the missionary vocation of our local Churches.
This process is accompanied by members and associates of the Quebec Foreign Mission Society (SMÉ) in Central America, together with collaborators from the Vocation Promotion Project (PROVAC). Together, we encourage and strengthen the Ad Gentes missionary vocation, whose mission is to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
The first gathering was held at the Hermitage of San Isidro, in the Parish of San José Verapaz, San Vicente. We express our special gratitude to Father Inocencio Álvarez, who generously welcomed us into his parish community with openness and fraternity.
This group of committed young people and adults will continue their formation process over the coming months. Furthermore, new formation groups will soon begin in Costa Rica and Honduras, expanding this experience of faith and mission throughout the region.
Let us continue to pray for and accompany those who are beginning this path of discernment and dedication in the service of the Gospel.
