Beginning of the 2nd Stage of Formation at Casa Emmaus, Tegucigalpa, Honduras

On September 12, the 2nd Stage of Formation began at Casa Emmaus in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This formation program of the Quebec Foreign Mission Society (SME) aims to accompany young people who feel the call to mission ad gentes, helping them discern and strengthen their missionary vocation.
This year, four candidates joyfully join the formation journey:
- Guadalupe Calderón (El Salvador)
- Elvis Waldan (Honduras)
- Edwin García (Honduras)
- Eduardo de Oliveira (Brazil)
The opening day was marked by a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Bishop Guy Charbonneau, P.M.E., and concelebrated by Father Juan Greffard, P.M.E., together with Father Bernardino Lazo, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Honduras.
The beginning of this stage was witnessed by SME associates, affiliates, and family members of the candidates, who gathered in an atmosphere of prayer and fraternity. Together, we gave thanks to God for this moment of grace and missionary hope, which strengthens the path of our mission in the Church and in the world.
We entrust these young men to the Lord and to the intercession of Mary, Mother of Missions, so that their journey may be fruitful and prepare them to live with joy and dedication the call to be missionaries of hope among peoples.
