For the year 2025, the Gospel of John reminds us that "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1:14). This powerful verse invites us to reflect on the meaning of the Incarnation and on how God chose to dwell among us in the form of a child. This act of humility and closeness urges us to consider how we, in turn, can be a refuge for those who today find themselves in situations of vulnerability and suffering.

In a world marked by war and displacement, millions of refugees and displaced persons are seeking a safe home. By dwelling among us, God not only draws closer to us but also calls us to draw closer to others, to open our doors and hearts to those torn from their homes. Christmas is a time when we celebrate peace, hope, and justice—values we must embrace and promote within our families.

As we send out our calendars in December, let us remember that every month, every week, and every day of the year is an opportunity to live out the values of peace, justice, and fraternity. May our daily actions reflect this desire to see “peace and justice embrace, mercy and faithfulness meet.” This is a call to be agents of change, working for a world where every person, regardless of their journey or circumstances, can find welcome and refuge.

In 2025, our Missionary Society also celebrates the jubilee of the first missionary sending to distant lands. It is a sign of hope. We invite everyone to actively contribute to creating an environment of peace and welcome. Every small gesture matters and can transform lives. May we all be signs of love and hope. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2025!
