Beyond Differences
A Foreign Mission Society Podcast

Can you imagine a bonfire under a starry sky, with people gathered around sharing stories? For thousands of years, human beings have told stories to preserve memories, pass on wisdom, and keep alive what matters most.
Beyond Differences was born from that same desire.
Through this podcast, the Quebec Foreign Mission Society gathers meaningful stories from missionary experiences lived across generations and cultures. These encounters (sometimes joyful, sometimes challenging) reveal how people can be transformed when they truly open themselves to one another.
In a world where differences are too often feared or used to divide, we want to create a space where stories become bridges. Through conversations, memories, reflections, and personal testimonies, you will hear the voices of people who encountered unfamiliar cultures, discovered unexpected friendships, and found humanity beyond borders.
These stories are not only about missionaries changing others, but also about being changed themselves — through hospitality, faith, humility, and shared life.
We hope this podcast offers moments of reflection, hope, and inspiration, and reminds us that peace and understanding are built one encounter at a time.
The first episodes will be recorded in English. Future episodes will also be available in French and Spanish, reflecting the diversity of voices within the Quebec Foreign Mission Society.
We warmly invite you to join us on this journey — Beyond Differences.

Our first guest is Charles-Aimé Bolduc, an amazing member of the SME that dedicated his years of mission in Japan. Enjoy!
